Job Description
Project Management
- In-charge of overall development, implementation and completion of construction within scheduled time, cost and quality;
- Plan client’s schedules and coordinate for resources, including material, manpower, facility, and consumables, and translate them into effective and efficient project schedules to meet requirements;
- Ensure full traceability of headcount, process, site safety and equipment;
- Ensure process stability and adequate process control;
- Detect resource problem and ensure corrective action executed;
- Liaise with client’s representatives and consultants;
- Conduct sub-contractors, suppliers and site staff meeting;
- Ensure strict works and schedule conformance to contractual specifications during construction, before handover and during maintenance period if any;
Legal Compliance
- Ensure legal compliance of all existing policies and procedures to Singapore law;
- Ensure compliance to company’s policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs);
- Conformance to existing SOPs and suggest areas of improvement;
Contract and Subcontract Management
- Monitor sub-contractors or suppliers’ performance and report any poor performance to the Management;
- Review and negotiate with the sub-contractors as and when necessary;
- Ensure compliance to sub-contractor management procedure
Grievance Handling
- Act as a conduit to employees by listening to feedback and respond appropriately;
- Involve or update HR of the proposals and decisions on grievance handling
Performance Culture, Training and Development
- Facilitate in finalisation of job description for all key resources;
- Ensure employees have adequate people management skills and technical skills to manage their teams and deal with day-to-day people matters;
- Facilitate training need identification and work with HR to fill in the gaps;
- Lead the teams towards objectives as set by the Company
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering recognised by the Professional Engineers (PE) Board Singapore or qualifications acceptable by the Commissioner of Building Control for registration as Resident Engineer
- At least 8 years of relevant local working experience in building and construction industry. Preferably with five (5) years local experience in managing design and construction teams for LTA or HDB project
- Excellent project and time management skills;
- Display high level of professionalism and integrity
