Responsibilities:
- Ensure vessels comply with ports, state regulations.
- Implement and oversee the planned maintenance system to ensure compliance.
- Oversee and monitor repairs, and manage the preparation of purchase and work orders.
- Develop dry-docking and repair specifications and monitor the progress of work.
- Manage the allocated vessel budget to meet the operational standards required by the owners.
- Conduct internal audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and prepare closing reports.
- Attend inspections conducted by Underwriters.
- Assist the Crew Department with coordinating crew matters.
- Communicate with Terminal Representatives, Charterers, Agents, Operators, and Freezone Officials.
- Serve as the first point of contact for vessel matters.
Requirements:
- COC Class 1 or 2 with sailing experience on product tankers.
- Min of 3 to 5 years of experience ashore as a Technical Superintendent in tanker companies.
- Experience in managing foreign-going vessels.
- Willingness to travel abroad on a rotational basis.
- Familiarity with Oil Majors vetting and inspection requirements.
- Analytical, able to work independently, results-oriented, resourceful, and proactive.
