Technical Support Technician is responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to network, computer systems, hardware, and software. This person will respond to queries, run diagnostic programs, isolate problems, and determine and implement solutions.
Providing administrative support to the IT team and facilitating the smooth operation of IT processes and procedures. The role involves managing day-to-day IT administrative tasks
Responsibilities:
Technical Assistance:
- · Provide first-level contact and convey resolutions to customer issues.
- · Properly escalate unresolved queries to the next level of support. –
- · Track, route, and redirect problems to correct resources.
- · Update customer data and produce activity reports.
Troubleshooting
- · Follow up with customers, provide feedback, and see problems through to resolution.
- · Utilize excellent customer service skills and exceed customers’ expectations.
- · Ensure proper recording, documentation, and closure.
- · Recommend procedure modifications or improvements.
Support & Maintenance:
- · Preserve and grow your knowledge of help desk procedures, products, and services.
- · Support the roll-out of new applications.
- · Set up new user accounts and profiles and deal with password issues.
- · Prioritize and manage multiple open cases at one time.
Technical Expertise:
- · Diagnose and resolve technical network, hardware and software issues.
- · Research questions using available information resources.
- · Advise users on appropriate actions.
- · Walk customers through problem-solving processes.
Documentation & Reporting:
- · Document internal procedures.
- · Prepare accurate and timely reports.
- · Maintain and update the IT knowledge base.
