Responsibilities:
- Plan, provision, source, subcontract, and purchase spares and components from approved suppliers at optimal inventory levels to meet customer turnaround times.
- Evaluate the demand plan for aircraft types to determine the optimal level of provisioning, considering the lead times and availability of standard replacement parts and conditional parts with varying scrap percentages.
- Actively manage provisioning and adjust incoming orders (accelerate, delay, or cancel deliveries) to align with the actual demand plan.
- Handle demand exceptions and ensure a smooth production run through coordination with cross-functional teams.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement programs and take the initiative to enhance the material planning process.
- Conduct material price and cost analyses. Update purchase order records and liaise with suppliers to resolve discrepancies.
- Maximize fill rates and monitor and improve supplier performance.
- Provide updates on supplier delivery status during production meetings.
- Ensure in-house fabricated bushings meet requirements and specifications.
- Monitor and maintain all sub-contract orders to meet shop requirements.
- Complete assigned reporting requirements.
- Actively contribute to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) development and improvement.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Min diploma in Logistics, Purchasing Management, Material or its equivalent.
- At least 5 years of experience in materials planning job roles
- Able to lead a team
- Experienced in MRP or SAP is an added advantage
