What a Writing Systems Engineer does in HP:
- Knowledge transfer of system technology, especially Writing System and Ink performance (print quality, ink and system interactions), and customer experience trade-offs.
- Partnering to develop Singapore's Center of Excellence.
- Acts as Ink Qualification technical advisor and mentor.
- Guides the team on execution of pre and on program activities.
- Interface between the supplies and hardware technical and management teams for overall printhead performance and how to balance trade-offs with the supplies technical capability and expected customer performance.
- Participates in system competitive analysis and where to target HP technology to steer long term printhead strategy .
- Technical advisor, communicating program status and strategies at the director and VP level.
Individuals who will do well in this role usually possess:
- Minimally 3 years experience in the relevant field
- Ink Regulatory expertise.
- Ability to translate system technology constraints into customer impacts.
- Develops innovative principles and ideas, leading to best practices in the organization.
- Leads large, cross- site and cross-functional teams and projects to drive Print’s long-term goals and objectives.
- Leads large, complex escalations affecting supplies and HW R&D and supplies and HW Marketing.
- Develops technology solutions to resolve the toughest business and customer requirements;.
- Exercises independent judgment
- Expertise in framing system trade-offs at the business level.
