- To work in accordance wtih company policies, production plan, product specifications and management guidance
- Operate and monitor machinery which distillate, filter, separate, heat or refine chemicals, to blend,mix, process a wide range of chemical products
- Handover and takeover of plant status, routine check on plant, ensure all bleeders and vents are close
- Console technician to handover and takeover of plant status face to face at control room, check on MOS, screen through all pages for abnormality and check status of fire panel
- Report any leaks, deviation, and abnormality and unsafe conditions in the plant to Team Leader
- Perform process start-up, normal operation and shut-down in accordance to work instructions, ensure no deviation on process and safety
- Monitor processes, taking samples and performing routine chemical and physical tests of products and recording production data. Ensure products are meeting product specifications
- Line up for tank transfer and monitor transfer of products in conformance with safety procedures
- Logistic operation (Loading/unloading ISO tankers, road trucks, drumming, etc)
- Troubleshooting of equipment malfunctions, carrying out routine operating verification tests, filter cleaning, minor piping/spool connection/disconnect and request for maintenance if needed
- Prepare equipment for maintenance, LOTO, check for leaks and gas test, De LOTO, AFTT, test run and put equipment back in service
- Assess the area or equipment before signing the permit assessor portion
- Respond to process upsets, leaks and emergency situations (as ERT team member)
- To support maintenance activities/other departments/shifts on shortage of manpower
- Monitor, report and intervene any unsafe conditions and situations
- Raise concern on MOS, safety critical equipment and MOC/PSSR as required
- Other duties as assigned
- Good team worker, good communication skills, safety/process knowledge and troubleshooting skills are prerequisites
- Work 12-hour shifts and be physically fit
- NITEC in Chemical Process Technology with 1 to 5 years of working experience in Chemical/Pharmaceutical, Oil and Gas manufacturing industries
- Good understanding in general EHS practices
- Fluent in English (written and verbal)
- Candidates need to be trustworthy, hands-on, take full ownership/responsibility of their roles and responsibilities. Can-do attitude, flexible approach and provding full support to the Site Management team are key.
