Job Description:
- Manage all MEP activities within construction projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee and coordinate subcontractors responsible for MEP installations and works, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to project timelines.
- Monitor and control the MEP project budget, including procurement of materials, equipment, and services, to ensure cost-efficiency and profitability.
- Provide technical guidance and support on MEP systems, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring installations meet design intent and performance criteria.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure MEP installations and works meet industry standards, client expectations, and contractual obligations.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate MEP systems seamlessly into overall project plans and schedules.
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations on MEP worksites, promoting a safe working environment and compliance with statutory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to MEP activities, including progress reports, compliance certificates, as-built drawings, and variation orders.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in MEP management within construction projects, ideally in subcontracting roles.
- Comprehensive knowledge of MEP systems, building codes, regulations, and industry standards in Singapore.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders, subcontractors, and project teams.
- Leadership abilities to lead and motivate a diverse team, resolve conflicts, and drive performance.
- Problem-solving skills to address technical challenges and ensure MEP systems operate efficiently and reliably.
