The Opportunity
We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Business Analyst, to join our Group Technology team on a full-time basis.
Reporting to the IT Program Director, the primary purpose of this position is to work closely with the business and other stakeholders in defining scope and requirements, refining business processes, and designing functional aspects of solutions in alignment with business needs.
Key accountabilities include:
Business Analysis
- Cross-functional stakeholder engagement and relationship building with all levels of the organisation including the leadership team and function directors
- Understanding and modelling of business processes, including identifying opportunities for process improvements
- Defining project scope and gathering, validation and documentation of business requirements
- Proposal of solutions that satisfy the business requirements, considering issues, risks, benefits and business impacts
- Leading the Business Analysis capability at iNova to support all functions
- Adherence to project governance including establishing specific project and operational processes, plans, standards and documentation for all functions where required
Computer System Validation
- Apply the Computer System Validation operating model and documents templates to all applicable systems (~12)
- Deliver validation plans and the defined documents for new in-scope projects
- Maintain and update documents for established systems, either during enhancement delivery, major version upgrades, or periodic reviews
- Conduct audits for suppliers of key systems
Other Activities
- While the above items will fill 60-80% of the role, there will be items of an ad hoc nature that require the support of a Senior Business Analyst. These may include major project management/support or operational initiatives with limited to no direction from the manager
- Coaching, reviewing and delegating work to colleagues throughout the organisation, including up to Director level
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess a recognised university degree and/or Masters/MBA qualification with a minimum of 8 years’ experience as a Business Analyst.
Other key requirements for this role include:
- Demonstrated experience with stakeholder management
- Confidently led requirements development sessions and workshops in a software context
- Developed project documentation that reflects requirements i.e., functional requirements specifications or requirements traceability matrixes
- Demonstrated excellent project management capability from initial planning through to delivery
- Taken ownership of end-to-end processes from engaging the stakeholder for the initial session to deliverable/output signoff
- Demonstrated experience with stakeholder management
- Confidently led requirements development sessions and workshops in a software context
- Developed project documentation that reflects requirements i.e., functional requirements specifications or requirements traceability matrixes
- Demonstrated excellent project management capability from initial planning through to delivery
- Taken ownership of end-to-end processes from engaging the stakeholder for the initial session to deliverable/output signoff
