Engineering Manager
Job Summary:
· Lead and manage a team of engineers in the medical device industry.
· Foster a data-driven, innovative, and problem-solving work environment.
· Oversee improvements in equipment and facilities performance.
· Manage engineering projects, safety systems, and processes.
· Ensure efficient execution of engineering tasks to meet production goals.
· Implement Lean manufacturing principles.
· Drive cost reduction initiatives through engineering solutions.
· Build a well-rounded engineering team with diverse skillsets.
· Collaborate with other departments to achieve engineering objectives.
· Proactively solve problems and improve existing processes.
· Manage capital projects for on-time, on-budget completion with minimal disruption.
· Lead and manage engineering projects to meet defined goals.
· Develop and train engineering staff.
Manager Responsibilities:
· Hire, train, and manage engineering staff.
· Oversee safety protocols and conduct risk assessments.
· Uphold environmental, health, and safety (EHS) policies.
· Ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
· Investigate and report workplace accidents.
· Manage EHS non-conformance and corrective actions.
· Support EHS audits.
Education/Experience and Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in engineering (or equivalent experience) with at least 10 years of management experience.
· Minimum 4-5 years of experience in medical device manufacturing.
· 3-4 years of experience in balloon catheter manufacturing and engineering.
· Proficiency in engineering tools (FMEA, DOE, SPC, etc.).
· Knowledge of GMPs, ISO standards (9001/EN 46001, 13485), and Medical Device Directives.
· Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification (preferred).
· Knowledge of ISO and FDA compliance a plus.
