The Deputy Vice President is to ensure the effective governance of commercial activities and to maximise revenue opportunities within Singapore Post’s International Business Unit. The role will be instrumental in driving strategic initiatives that enhance financial performance, streamline business processes, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement strategies for commercial governance and revenue management aligned with the international BU’s objectives.
- Provide leadership and guidance to district commercial teams to ensure consistency and compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
Revenue Management:
- Design and execute revenue management initiatives to maximise profitability and market share.
- Analyse revenue streams and identify opportunities for growth and efficiency improvements.
- Implement pricing strategies and revenue optimisation techniques across various product and service lines.
- Oversee pricing and cost management to ensure competitive positioning and profitability.
Commercial Governance:
- Establish and maintain robust governance frameworks to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Lead the development and enforcement of commercial policies, procedures, and standards.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Oversee financial analysis and reporting related to commercial activities, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Ensure accurate forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning for the international BU.
- Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Utilise deep data insights and interpretation to drive informed decision-making.
Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including district managers, finance teams, and external partners, to drive commercial success.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate effective governance and revenue management practices.
- Work effectively across various regions and countries, adapting strategies to local markets.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of professionals in the commercial governance and revenue management functions.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
- Manage and develop direct reports to achieve high performance and engagement.
Business Process Improvement:
- Identify, analyse, and implement business process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across commercial governance and revenue management processes.
- Ensure best practices and innovative solutions are incorporated into business processes.
SOP Management:
- Develop, implement, and oversee Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure operational consistency and efficiency.
- Regularly review and update SOPs to reflect changes in business processes, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
- Ensure all teams are trained and compliant with established SOPs.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial governance, revenue management, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful revenue management strategies.
- Extensive experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting within a multinational organisation.
- Experience working across different regions and countries.
- Understanding of postal and/or logistics models is a distinct advantage.
