Overview:
The Planner is responsible for updating and controlling project activities per the project schedule. This includes preparing and submitting documentation for client acceptance, specifically the PVP6 baseline, program, and monthly S-curve progress reports. Reporting directly to the Project Manager/Project Director, the Planner provides timeline direction to project teams and timely updates for overall coordination, particularly on critical paths. Additionally, the Planner handles project administrative roles as required by the client
The Role:
On Project Management Aspects:
- Responsible for effective and efficient project planning and tracking using Primavera P6 software.
- Support Project Managers and the Project Director by providing a detailed schedule and updating project teams on critical paths.
- Lead project planning and management activities, overseeing and handling all aspects of PVP6 activities on-site from initiation to completion.
- Monthly program updates, preparation, and submission of respective S-curve reports, and overall progress reports to the Client.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by developing and maintaining project schedules.
- Track and monitor project schedules against project baselines.
- Assist in tender stage project planning and submission.
- Attend meetings as required, coordinate with project teams on the impact of works, and resolve problems.
On Admin Aspects:
- Maintain respective project documentation in accordance with Client and Internal documentation needs in the shared folders.
- Prepare simple letters for DAR document submission, submission of project documents via the Client documentation system, etc.
- Assist the respective project team to track and monitor the project budget.
- Participate in pre-sales activities when required.
The Requirements:
- Diploma in an engineering field or Information Technology, with experience in communication systems preferred.
- Professional knowledge, experience, and familiarity with Oracle Primavera P6 are required.
- Knowledge in AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, and Navisworks will be an advantage.
- Experience in LTA projects is preferred.
- Knowledge of ISO9001:2015.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrates independent and creative thinking when performing problem-solving initiatives.
- Highly motivated, dependable, and self-reliant, with the ability to work well under the pressure of deadlines.
- Demonstrates an ability to work in an environment where calculated risk-taking is necessary.
