Key Account Manager (Modern Trade)

Seng Hong Company (private) Limited

Job Description:

  • The Key Account Manager role is responsible for maximising sales and growing the brand equity for new and existing products under the distribution of Seng Hong in the Modern Trade channel.
  • He/She will identify, evaluate and drive the growth of products which includes trading, house brand and agency brand for present and future.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the business performance through maintaining, building and managing the sales pipeline in assigned key accounts. (Major Supermarket, E-commerce, Independent Retailers)
  • To establish strong business contacts with key retail chains and working closely with key decision makers and buyers, anticipating their needs and providing attractive, value adding service (i.e. trade marketing).
  • Continually develop knowledge of the business climate, applications and competition for his/her defined accounts.
  • To plan and execute sales plans and tactics for each key account that’s in line with company’s annual plan.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasting through effectively managing customers’ inventory, collaborate for below the line activities and product listings.
  • Analyze and evaluate key account sales trends and performance, market penetration, distribution width and depth and merchandising/promotional thrusts.
  • Provide regular and quality feedback with action plans to the senior management on relevant matters such as market developments, competitors, policies, industry and how it could potentially impact the business.
  • Deliver desire sales objectives and target set by company while managing trade promotion budget to maximize sales return.
  • Constantly look out for opportunity to improve distribution, visibility and presence of the company's products and to drive sales growth.
  • Develop short and mid-term plan in assigned accounts to stretch potentiality for all brands in our distribution portfolio.
  • Perform periodic business reviews on key accounts to monitor performance
  • Perform any tasks and projects which may be assigned by the management from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of key account management experience within the FMCG sector
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills - Excel, Powerpoint. Outlook
  • To have a Diploma or higher preferably in Business/Marketing or a relevant field.
  • Deep understanding of the FMCG market
  • A good team-player, highly motivated and outcome driven
  • Able to work independently and function in a dynamic working environment
  • Pleasant personality with good interpersonal & communication skill.


*Salary (commensurate with experience):

Up to $5500
