Job Description:
As a Dental Assistant / Senior Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting dental care delivery. Your responsibilities will include preparing clinical areas, dental rooms, patients, instruments, and materials according to established procedures and protocols. You will assist in various treatment procedures and maintain proper documentation and inventory control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist with a wide range of treatment procedures.
- Process x-rays and perform lab tasks under the dentist's direction.
- Accurately document dental care services in patient records.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, and post-treatment care.
- Communicate effectively with patients and suppliers, including scheduling appointments, answering calls, billing, and ordering supplies.
- Maintain a sterile environment and ensure dental instruments are sanitized according to infection control standards.
- Oversee preventive maintenance of dental equipment.
- Manage and maintain clinical supply inventory.
- Ensure a safe and clean working environment at all times.
Qualifications:
- Minimum N Level education.
- Excellent interpersonal, telephone, and listening skills.
- A pleasant, patient, empathetic, and diplomatic demeanor.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to meet patients' needs.
- Experience in dental assisting is an advantage.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to commit to a 5.5-day work week.
