Database Associate
( Willingness to work in 24/7 shifts, including morning, afternoon, and night.)
At least 4 years of banking experience is a must.
Location : ( Changi)
The role is a contract until 31 Dec 2024, with the possibility of renewal based on budget and performance.
Proficiency in managing database environments, particularly with Oracle and SQL Server
Key Roles and Responsibilities include:
· Manage database environment inclusive of Oracle, SQL Server.
· Monitoring system performance and identifying problems that arise. Able to do SOD (Start-of-Day) checks on daily basis and fix the issues. Ensuring the database is adequately backed up and able to be recovered if needed.
· Responding in a timely manner to user-reported errors.
· Must have experience in Oracle RAC, Data Guard, Oracle Restart on Windows platform. Must have worked on 11.x/12.x/19.x versions of Oracle and have handled database activities like DB Upgrades, Patching and other maintenance activities.
· Further establish and ensure Database standards (security, reliability, availability, and scalability) and procedures are met by our product teams.
· Implement and manage changes by ensuring data integrity is maintained.
Ethically handling private data, including financial / customer data
Qualifications:
· A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
· At least 5-6 years of experience of system/database development are needed.
· Extensive knowledge and experience in Database Administration is needed
.Efficient in RHEL 4.x/5.x/6.x/7.x/8.x Linux OS installation.
. Experience configuring Linux Software RAID and expanding Linux partitions with LVM.
.Proficient in tuning Unix/Linux servers (RHEL5.x/6.x/7.x/8.x), IBM AIX, Sun Solaris, and HP-UX platforms.
Technical Certifications:
Red Hat Certified Engineer
Oracle 9i/11g Database Administrator Certified Professional (OCP)
