• Responsible for the monthly closing and reporting for the business unit
• Assist with monthly financial closing, preparation of journals and audit schedules, maintenance of general ledger, bank reconciliation, timely preparation and accurate reporting of financial matters/results/management reports
• Assist in GST reporting, analysis of results and tax information preparation.
• Review invoices, journal vouchers, schedules, batch payments and staff claims
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
• Liaise with auditors and tax agents for year-end audits and tax filing/compliance.
• Assigned with other ad-hoc assignments as and when required.
Job Requirements
• Degree/Diploma in Accountancy/Finance or ACCA or its equivalent.
• More than 5 years’ of relevant experience in accounting, preferably in Marine industry.
• Well-versed in SFRS, Companies Act and other accounting regulatory requirements.
• Proficient in MS Office particularly MS Excel.
• Meticulous, analytical independent, a good team player and possess good communication skills as well as the ability to deliver quality work within stipulated timeline
