What We Offer

This is an excellent opportunity for hands-on experience with our Asia Pacific Operations Service Fulfilment team as an Ocean Care Lead! You will be covering Hubs, Oceania, South-East Asia and Mekong region to improve customer experience, drive down cost and maximise process efficiency via standardisation & automation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Customer Ocean Service Delivery, through product Delivery Promises from Export locations and/or transhipment hub, enabling network and cargo connectivity. Look for opportunities to minimize supply chain variability and improve delivery times.
  • Collaborate closely with various internal teams to find most cost optimal solution for customers that will protect customer experience.
  • Your daily tasks and activities impact the customer experience. Handle with care, devising trade-off or balancing between service delivery, cost, operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
  • Accountable for conducting daily terminal inventory sweeps to ensure in-house and terminal systems are aligned, for laden and empty containers. Ensure any unbudgeted costs are recovered from either our vendors or customers.
  • Champion process improvement initiatives by eliminating waste and propose automation compared to manual processes.
  • Work together with our Dangerous Cargo Safety Team to ensure local rules for transhipment and import/export cargo are strictly complied to.

We are looking for

  • The ideal candidate should possess a relevant degree from any field of studies from a reputable education facility. Any operations experience especially in cargo execution & handling will be a significant advantage. Maritime knowledge will help but is not a necessity.
  • Must be willing to work flexi-hours based on business requirement including weekend duty that is rotated among the team.
  • You will need an effective time-management skills to work under tight deadlines.
  • Problem-solving flair combined with natural initiative and curiosity.
  • You should be a good communicator who is able to interact and convey ideas when working with cross-cultural teams and multiple stakeholders.
  • The ability to thrive with a variety of tasks and understanding the big picture, even when things get busy.
  • Someone who is curious, asks questions, not afraid to voice their opinion. Use the information to gain in-depth knowledge for execution.
  • You can fail quickly, adapt, learn with agility and implement to drive results.
  • You should be a diligent, self-disciplined and upright individual, accepting personal ownership for your results. You will have to be innovative and driven to provide solutions and ideas that will improve our service level.
  • If you have a specific skillset, e.g. programming or coding; we are interested to hear how you can apply it to the Ocean Care team during the interview.

*This role is to based in Singapore.
