Aquarium Salesman Job Role and Responsibilities
An Aquarium Salesman is responsible for selling aquariums, aquatic equipment, and accessories to customers. The job role involves:
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in selecting appropriate aquariums and equipment, answer queries, and provide excellent customer service.
- Stay up-to-date on product features, benefits, and pricing to effectively promote and sell aquariums and related products.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels, restock shelves, and ensure products are properly displayed.
- Process sales transactions, handle cash, credit card transactions, and maintain a cash float.
- Ensure the store is clean, tidy, and well-organized, including the aquarium displays.
- Perform basic aquarium maintenance tasks, such as water testing and tank cleaning.
- Meet or exceed monthly sales targets and contribute to the growth of the business.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales goals and provide a positive customer experience.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Provide advice on aquarium setup, maintenance, and aquatic life care.
- Offer recommendations on aquarium size, type, and equipment based on customer needs.
- Stay updated on new products, technologies, and industry developments.
- Participate in in-store promotions, events, and displays.
- Maintain accurate sales records and reports.
Requirements:
- Singaporean/PR preferred. Prior knowledge about aquatic plants and tank keeping will be a big plus.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Basic knowledge of aquariums and aquatic life (training provided).
- Ability to lift up to 25 kg and stand for extended periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g., biology, aquatic science) an advantage.
