Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Operations and New Product Development Asia to join our leadership team. This role will be instrumental in driving operational excellence and innovation within our organization in Asia, overseeing both the day-to-day operations and the strategic development of new products.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:
- Lead and oversee all aspects of operations in Asia, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize operational processes and maximize productivity.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the operations team.
New Product Development:
- Drive the strategic development of new products in Asia from conception through to launch.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and manufacturing teams to ensure successful product development and commercialization.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify new opportunities and trends in the Asia region.
Team Management:
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team.
- Set clear goals and objectives for the team, providing ongoing feedback and performance evaluations.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
Budget and Resource Management:
- Develop and manage budgets for operations and new product development initiatives in the Asia region.
- Optimize resource allocation to achieve business goals and objectives.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Identify and mitigate operational and project-related risks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and above.
- 10 years of experience in operations management, with a proven track record of success in new product development in Asia
- Strong leadership and managerial skills, with experience in leading cross-functional teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Able to communicate in both English and Mandarin. Additional knowledge of the Korean and Japanese language is a plus.
