Job Description: Head of Sales

Position Title: Head of Sales

Department: Sales

Reports To: Director

Job Type: Full-Time


Position Overview:The Head of Sales is responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy to achieve revenue targets, grow market share, and foster strong customer relationships. This role requires a strategic leader with a proven track record in sales management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive performance in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with company goals and objectives. Identify market opportunities, target customers, and competitive trends to optimize sales efforts. Set sales targets, budgets, and forecasts, and ensure achievement of sales goals.
  2. Leadership and Team Management:Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve high performance and meet sales targets. Recruit, train, and develop sales talent to build a high-performing sales organization. Foster a positive and collaborative team culture that promotes growth and innovation.
  3. Customer Relationship Management:Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders. Ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction through effective sales and service strategies. Address customer needs, concerns, and feedback to improve sales processes and relationships.
  4. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:Monitor sales performance metrics, analyze data, and provide regular reports to senior management. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance sales performance. Utilize CRM systems and other tools to track and manage sales activities and customer interactions.
  5. Market Expansion and Business Development:Identify new market opportunities and develop strategies for market entry and expansion. Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop and launch new products and services. Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote the company and drive business growth.
  6. Collaboration and Cross-Functional Coordination:Work closely with other departments, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure alignment and synergy.
    Provide input into product development and marketing strategies based on market feedback and sales insights. Collaborate with the finance team to manage budgets, pricing strategies, and financial forecasting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (10+ years) in sales management, with a track record of success in achieving sales targets and driving growth.
  • Similar role in food manufacturing, food wholesalers industry preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to travel as required.
