Regional Head of Footwear Department

• Working Timing: 5.5 Days work week
  Monday - Friday [ 9am - 6pm ]
  Alternative Saturday [ 9am - 1pm ]
• Salary: S$6,000 - S$8,000
• Office Location: Near to Kaki Bukit MRT

Roles & Responsibilities

One of the leading sports goods companies of Asia, involved in wholesale & distribution of branded sports equipment, accessories, footwear & apparel. The company has offices in several countries of Asia with headquarters at Singapore.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Product Development:

• Handle the entire pipeline of product development from sourcing to final delivery

Material and Component Selection:

• Research and select cutting-edge materials and components that enhance the functionality and aesthetics of our footwear while meeting costing requirements

Prototyping and Testing:

• Ensure rigorous testing and validation of prototypes to meet performance, durability, and comfort criteria.

Technical Oversight:

• Provide technical expertise and ensure the creation of detailed technical specifications and documentation for manufacturing processes.

Market Research:

• Stay ahead of industry trends, consumer preferences, and technological advancements to inform and inspire the team.

Quality Assurance:

• Maintain stringent quality standards through comprehensive testing and analysis.

Sourcing:

• Find and maintain relationships with the best manufacturers that can meet our needs

Team Leadership:

• Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of footwear developers and merchandisers

Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

• Relevant experience in footwear design and development, with leadership role within a high-performance or athletic brand preferred.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in CAD software, 3D modelling, and other design tools. In-depth knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of Biomechanics: Comprehensive understanding of biomechanics to ensure designs optimise athlete performance and reduce injury risk.
