Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare documents including but not limited to Equipment Specification, calculations for electrical system and system study and drawing list
- Ensure drawing and documents are submitted to project coordinator on time by monitoring drawing schedule for submission of documents
- Review and comment on vendor’s technical offers and perform technical evaluation
- Perform detailed technical analysis and simulations to validate electrical designs, including load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, and protective device coordination studies
- Review documents prepared by Draftsperson/Designer
- Collaborate with coordinate with other engineering disciplines and site team during detailed engineering, construction and commissioning stage
- Troubleshoot and resolve all technical issues related to electrical systems
- Participate in meetings inclusive but not limited to technical meetings with Owner/OE for clarifications, meetings with internal stakeholders or project and engineering meetings
- Site visits to provide assistance on technical issues and site meetings
- Any other duties to be assigned from time to time
Pre-requisites:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience in EPC power plant and/or industrial plant projects
- Familiar with Singapore regulations and practices
- Able to interact effectively with Owner and Owner’s Engineers on technical issues
- Prior experience in leading a team of design engineers is an added advantage
