Role:
- Assist with new building projects, including onsite visits (if required) and documentation filing.
- Support and report to the supervising manager.
- Aid the Technical Manager in preparing, monitoring, and controlling repair and maintenance budgets for the fleet, including keeping records of spare parts, fuel, and lube oil usage.
- Review and follow up on routine reports from the vessel.
- Visit vessels as needed to report on general conditions, ongoing repairs and maintenance, safety, environmental protection, and required actions.
- Discuss work plans, running costs, spares, and stores with the Ship’s Command and report on these issues.
- Assist in conducting technical analyses for new purchases.
- Ensure continuous maintenance of the vessels’ hull and machinery to guarantee smooth operations.
- Ensure that the vessels’ certificates and documents are properly updated and stored.
- Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Preferably have previous experience working on ships.
- Strong administrative skills and proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI, are desirable.
- A willingness to learn is the most important quality for this role.
- Must be able to travel at short notice when required.
