Responsibilities:
- Carry out all field operation activities, including isolation & normalisation, in line with operational guidelines
- Identifying and reporting on defective plant and equipment
- Monitor and log equipment operation data in to associated logs
- Responding appropriately to system exigencies as required
- Carrying out all routine plant tests and periodic auxiliary equipment changeover in accordance with approved Work Instructions and schedules.
- Assist CCR staff in maintaining accurate, up to date and timely records of all key operational events
- Assist in monitoring performance and maintaining optimum unit efficiency in operations
- Investigate plant abnormalities and recommend course of action during shift (plant trips, unit de-ration, occurrence of fire etc.)
- Preparing generating units activities to come on stream in accordance with real time dispatch schedule
- Carry out first level maintenance if required on instructions of Shift Leader
- Monitor plant condition (first level condition monitoring)
- Co-ordinate OJT training for new team members
Requirements:
- Preferably Diploma or technical certification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent qualifications. Higher NITEC candidates may also be considered if equivalent, extensive related experience can be demonstrated.
- Diploma holder with 2-5 years’ experience in Combined Cycle Power Plants or related industries
- Higher NITEC with 7-10 years’ experience in Combined Cycle Power Plants or related industries.
- Self-motivated, independent, possess sound analytical and communication skills, and is a team player.
- Possesses good knowledge of plant processes and operations.
- Must not be suffering from colour blindness due to work requirement to handle equipment or machinery.
Location and working hours:
- Jurong Island in Singapore
- Must be able to work on 12-hour rotating shifts. (10am to 10pm and/or 10 pm to 10am)
