- Conduct hull/block inspections to ensure welding quality and fabrication on-site are as per the latest drawings.
- Upon completion, check the thickness, quality, and type of paint according to specifications.
- Trace pipeline routes onboard to verify correct installation and materials.
- Verify equipment installation methods and positions, ensuring final alignment and torque/tie down per specification requirements.
- Witness quality tests such as MPI, dye penetration tests, crack tests, x-rays, air tests, etc.
- Monitor project progress and collaborate closely with shipyard project managers, engineers, and surveyors on-site to maintain schedules.
- Conduct weekly meetings with the yard and relevant personnel.
- Attend project, department, and other relevant meetings.
- Check and verify the site progress report weekly before submitting it to the client.
- Follow up on engineering/technical issues related to projects, including class comments, drawing receipts from designers, technical agreements, procurement status, and delivery.
- Oversee the entire vessel commissioning process, including the inclining test, yard trial, sea trial, etc.
- Handover the vessel to the client upon satisfactory performance.
