We have a great opportunity for our Head of Engineering Services practice with regional managerial responsibilities. This role who will be part of a team accountable for designing, building and supporting the evolving ecosystem of critical applications that support various trading, financing and treasury functions for the firm. The team is responsible for quality deliverables to the advancement and expanding needs of the different business groups globally.
Responsibility:
- Act as regional leader for Engineering Services practice
- Partner with executive leadership team, practice directors, regional leads in driving growth of Engineering Services practice
- Leading APAC team of Engineering consultants ensuring synergy between projects and stakeholders
- Responsibility for successful delivery of all Engineering Services engagements in region
- Lead various special investment projects in the region
- Responsibility for people planning, hiring and development in region
- Leverage on core expertise in kdb+/q to drive technical discussions and delivering successful projects with Tier 1 & 2 financial institutions
- Oversee day-to-day activity including project updates, deliverables, issues, people management
- Establish continuous engagement with clients & prospective clients to win new business opportunities
- Travel when necessary to meet potential prospects, customers & regional teams
- Cultivate an environment of teamwork, openness, creativity, and continuous improvement of everyone’s role. Cultivate strong sense of belonging within regional teams
Requirements:
- 15+ years’ experience in successfully managing large scale programme within FSIs
- 8+ years' experience working in a kdb+/q environment
- Strong kdb+/q technical knowledge and appreciation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong senior leadership experience with a track record of leading a large team of consultants
- Ability to work confidently with the executive leadership team across multiple geographies, timezones and cultures
- Possess a technical background with a twist of sales mentality that enables you to identify and drive new business opportunities
- Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment in which cross-functional teamwork and initiative is a must
- Excellent written, oral & interpersonal communication skills
