As an ICT Support Specialist in an education institution, your scope of services would typically include the following:
A. ASSETS MANAGEMENT
1. Update ICT Inventory
Assist in updating the inventory of all school-owned ICT devices and equipment, including audio-visual (AV) stock books, to comply with both MOE ITD and school fixed assets requirements.
2. Conduct Stock-Checks
Assist in conducting stock-checks at least twice a year for all ICT inventory (school-owned devices and equipment) and AV inventory according to the school fixed assets list.
3. Condemnation and Replacement
Assist in the condemnation and replacement process for obsolete, out-of-warranty, or faulty ICT inventory (school-owned devices and equipment) and AV equipment.
4. Track Loans of ICT Inventory
Assist in tracking the loans of ICT inventory (school-owned devices and equipment) and AV equipment, such as digital cameras, tablets, visualisers, and CD players.
5. Maintain ICT Systems
Assist in the maintenance of ICT systems and work closely with vendors for repairs and upgrades to ensure optimal system performance.
6. Document New Resources
Document newly acquired ICT and AV resources in a systematic and organized manner.
7. Organize and Maintain Inventory
Organize and maintain ICT inventory (school-owned devices and equipment) and AV resources in a systematic and neat manner in various allocated rooms.
B. ICT & AV SUPPORT
8. Promptly Attend to Service Requests
Ensure that service requests for ICT and AV support are addressed promptly and efficiently.
9. Set Up ICT Gadgets/Tools
Set up ICT gadgets and tools, such as Swivl robots and interactive TVs, to support various school activities and events.
10. Provide Additional ICT Support
Provide supplementary ICT support in areas typically managed by the ICT Manager/Associate and Desktop Engineers. This includes assisting teachers with ICT technical issues during classroom lessons and resolving issues with projectors and visualisers.
11. Administer Online Surveys
Administer online surveys and compile the results into comprehensive reports.
C. 3D-PRINTING
12. Set Up and Maintain 3D-Printers
Assist in the setup and regular maintenance of 3D-printers to ensure they are functioning correctly and efficiently.
13. Train Students and Teachers
Provide training for students and teachers on how to operate and use 3D-printers and associated software, such as FlashPrint, to facilitate 3D-printing projects.
D. APPLIED LEARNING PROGRAMME (ALP)
14. Inventory Upkeeping and Stock-Take for ALP
Assist with the upkeep and periodic stock-taking of inventory for the Applied Learning Programme.
15. Maintenance of Makerspace
Maintain the Makerspace in the library, ensuring all equipment and resources are in good working order.
16. Assist with Maker Equipment
Help students troubleshoot and use maker equipment available in the Makerspace.
E. PLD-related Administration
17. Wiping Data from Student Personal Learning Devices (PLD)
Perform data wiping on student Personal Learning Devices to prepare them for new users or reconfiguration.
18. Basic Troubleshooting for PLD
Provide basic troubleshooting support for student Personal Learning Devices.
19. Handling Apple School Manager (ASM)
Perform basic functions on Apple School Manager to manage student and device information.
F. CO-FACILITATION (CCA, Staff & Students Area)
20. Assist in Info-Comm Club Training
Assist teachers and/or vendors in Info-Comm Club training sessions by co-facilitating photography and videography courses.
21. Guide and Mentor Students
Guide and mentor students in areas of photography and videography, providing technical and creative support.
22. Technical Assistance for Teachers’ Professional Development
Provide technical assistance for teachers' professional development, such as videoing lessons and offering feedback.
23. Conduct ICT Training for Staff
Conduct ICT training sessions for staff, including basic computing skills for non-teaching staff.
G. OTHERS (School Related)
24. ICT Support for School Events
Provide ICT support for school events and functions, including photography, live feed videography, video production, equipment setup for projection, and multimedia presentations for events like Graduation Ceremonies and School Awards Day.
25. Maintain Digital Photo and Video Albums
Maintain digital photo and video albums for the school, ensuring all important events and activities are documented and accessible.
26. Design and Maintain School Website
Design, update, and maintain the school website, ensuring it is current, user-friendly, and informative.
27. Assist with School Publications
Assist teachers in preparing school publications, including videos, posters, banners, and other multimedia content.
28. Other ICT & AV Related Tasks
Assist the school in any other areas related to ICT and AV as assigned by HOD/SH ICT or P/VPs, including the design and printing of certificates and other materials.
