The primary role of the Sr Executive/Executive is to support the manager to create media collaterals, and handle public relations in support of the marketing and communications, and branding requirements of the company. There will also be opportunities to lead smaller marketing and communication projects as required.
Key responsibility areas
Marketing Communications and Public Relations
- Support MSCS communications and marketing strategies - ensure adherence to brand and corporate identity guidelines
- Manage and support corporate and programmes-led/departmental events and marketing campaigns
- Support the development and management of key MSCS collaterals and e-communications platforms: website and social media content development and management; drives meaningful digital content production and social media engagement (Create campaigns using Google Adwords, Facebook, Instagram, etc)
- Manage internal communications platforms (newsletters, emails, etc)
- Develop PR materials including writing of press releases, media pitching, media relations and liaison, and public education materials
- Keep abreast of best practices in the media and publishing industry, and refresh media and publication processes and procedures as required
- Acts as a Brand Custodian: maintain a favourable public image of MSCS by communicating programmes, achievements and/or points of view.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree, preferably in Mass Communications or Marketing Communications.
- Minimally 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Highly organised, process-focused aptitude, with strong management to follow-up on assigned tasks within the stipulated timelines for successful completion.
- Self-motivated and positive, able to work independently.
- Good presentation and writing skills.
- Resourceful and self-driven with high degree of professional integrity & initiative.
- Independent as well as a good team player.
