The Assistant Manager - Singapore Affiliate Indirect Procurement is responsible for Indirect Procurement for Singapore Affiliate.
Indirect Procurement is the organization in charge of sourcing all goods & services (except for raw & packaging materials and third-party manufacturers) needed by Estee Lauder Companies.
Key categories in Indirect Procurement’s scope are Advertising & Production, Distribution & Logistics, Corporate & Professional Services, Information Technology and Store Construction.
Singapore Affiliate is 1 of the 11 affiliate operations in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.
This is an individual contributor role, in charge of sourcing all goods & services required by Singapore Affiliate and in the scope of Indirect Procurement.
Key responsibilities include: translating Singapore Affiliate’s business needs into sourcing strategies that deliver a sustainable competitive advantage; managing Singapore Affiliate’s internal stakeholders and locally-managed suppliers; deliver against annual objectives and targets.
Primary objectives are typically in the areas of cost reduction, payment term increases, supplier-driven innovation, sustainable sourcing, risk management, supplier performance management, risk management and business continuity, policy and process compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing (~50%)
· Provide local input to develop regional and global sourcing strategies, both in terms of local internal stakeholders’ needs as well as local industry/supply market insights.
· Implement global/regional sourcing strategies at local affiliate level.
· Develop and execute annual action plans for Singapore Affiliate, in line with global/regional sourcing strategies.
· Lead end-to-end sourcing process – from understanding internal stakeholders’ business needs to managing supplier performance – for Singapore Affiliate.
· Lead all sourcing and procurement-led initiatives for Singapore Affiliate (i.e. local implementation of globally-/regionally-led initiatives or locally-led initiatives).
Supplier Management (~25%)
· Own and manage relationships with all Singapore Affiliate’s suppliers.
· Develop/implement supplier performance measures, monitor and track supplier performance, and oversee supplier performance improvement plans.
· Lead resolution of supplier-related issues.
· Analyze local supply markets and suppliers.
Internal Stakeholder Management (~25%)
· Partner with and influence internal stakeholders from various Functions (e.g. Marketing, Supply Chain) for the development and implementation of sourcing strategies and action plans.
· Partner with Finance to monitor and report relevant spend, cost and compliance measures.
Minimum qualifications
· Bachelor’s or preferably Master’s Degree, ideally in Business
