Tasks & responsibilities
- Meeting clients to determine their needs and discuss any areas that need revising for price or feasibility
- Calculating material quantities and costs, labour costs and an achievable project timeframe
- Negotiating labour contracts and schedules
- Advising clients and crew on legal matters and disputes
- Monitoring subcontractors, safety practices, construction progress and material needs, including any changes which may impact costs
- Preparing labour and supplier accounts for payment
- Writing reports detailing costs and progress for clients
- Understanding the requirement of tender document
- Exercise collaborative plan and define extend of works
- Understanding and achieve within timelines
- Timely management of tender activities
- General duty includes measurement of quantity, collect quotation, cost comparison and participate in prepare tender price
- Review of quotations with the specification designed
- Review of the quantity from each buddy, cross check for possible item that may have overlook
- Proof reading of tender responses to highlight areas for incorporation of quantity and ensure issuance to stake holders to quote for works
- Negotiate price with Subcontractor/partnership
- Review of cost impact (Value Engineering proposal/ Variations)
- Responsible for contract documentation
- Responsible for taking off measurement and preparation of tender submission
- Responsible for handling running project
- Review the subcontractor’s quotation for completeness
- Responsible for filing of respective project documents
- Assist and perform all tasks assigned by respective superior
- Ensure the return of duly signed subcontractor/supplier agreement/works order
- Other ad-hoc duties assigned by superior
Qualifications & experience
Possess a Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying/Building or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of working experience in Singapore building construction industry with the Main contractor preferred
Experience in tendering work
Sound computer literacy including advanced skills in Excel
Working Hours
Monday – Friday (8 am- 5 pm), Saturday Alternate (9 am – 1 pm)
