Our specialist outpatient clinic is looking to hire a medical receptionist. This is a frontline position that will need require a lot of face to face interactions with patients and their relativies. The receptionist is also in charge of handling incoming enquiries from patients, other clinics and the hospital, either through the phone, email or other means of communication. Other duties include booking of appointments for patients the clinic, receiving documents for patients and good medical records keeping. Hence, the receptionist should be familiar with clinic software systems e.g. Plato, Clinic Assist and also be competent in using Microsoft Word and Excel. The receptionist should be able to multi-task, and also assist in taking weight and height of the patients that come for appointments.
Courtesy, compassion and professionalism are important qualities for this position. Good teamwork is also important. Good communication skills are a must to relay meassages seamlessly between patient and doctor/other clinic staff.
The candidate should have at least 3 years experience working as a receptionist, preferrably at a medical or dental clinic.
