Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Quantity Surveyor cum Procurement Specialist to join our team. This role will involve managing and overseeing quantity surveying tasks as well as handling procurement activities for our ACMV projects. The successful candidate will ensure accurate cost estimation, budgeting, and efficient procurement of materials and services in line with project requirements and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Quantity Surveying:
- Conduct detailed cost estimates and prepare cost plans for ACMV/ Mechanical projects.
- Monitor project costs and financial performance, identifying any discrepancies and proposing corrective actions.
- Prepare and review bills of quantities, specifications, and other relevant documentation.
- Manage subcontractor agreements, including negotiation and administration.
- Provide financial reports and forecasts to project managers and stakeholders.
- Assess and verify contractor and supplier payments and claims.
Procurement:
- Identify and source materials, equipment, and services required for ACMV/ Mechanical projects.
- Develop and manage procurement strategies, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of resources.
- Evaluate and select suppliers and subcontractors based on quality, cost, and reliability.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Monitor and manage procurement contracts to ensure compliance with company policies and project specifications.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to facilitate smooth procurement processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is advantageous.
- Proven experience in quantity surveying and procurement within the Mechanical construction industry.
- Strong understanding of ACMV and Mechanical systems and their associated costs.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using Excel & TMEC for take-off.
- Knowledge of local construction regulations, standards and contracts (SIA, PSSCOC, REDAS) in Singapore.
