JOB DESCRIPTION
The IT Support Engineer will be responsible, but not limited to the following:
- Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot PCs, Servers, and Network hardware.
- Provide technical support to staff on hardware and software issues.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and assist in resolving network-related problems.
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement and maintain security protocols and measures.
- Document hardware configurations, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions for future reference and knowledge sharing.
- Maintain accurate records of IT inventory, including hardware and software licenses.
- Evaluate and recommend PC, Servers, and Network hardware products for purchase.
- Liaise with PC equipment vendors for purchase of PCs, Server and Network hardware products.
REQUIREMENTS
We look for the following skills/traits:
- Good Computing, Infocomm or IT diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent technical knowledge of network and PC hardware, including Microsoft Windows platform.
- Hands-on experience with hardware installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Working technical knowledge of current network protocols, operating systems, and standards.
- Ability to conduct research into PC issues and products as required.
- Able to read and understand technical manuals and write technical documentation.
- Familiarity with IT service management tools and ticketing systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with Virtual Machines and Containerization Systems is a plus.
