Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all geotechnical and instrumentation matters
- Reviews all geotechnical documentation and drawings of the Project works
- Works closely with the Consultants on the scope of designs and project deliverables to enhance site efficiency and constructability.
- Understands and is familiar with geotechnical Code of Practice
- Manages soil investigation works, geotechnical design approval process and coordinates with the Clients, Consultants and subcontractors in a timely manner to resolve all geotechnical issues.
- Carry out instruments data interpretation of the ERSS and monitor closely of the trend behaviors are within the design prediction
- Ensure strict compliance of the design in accordance with statutory requirements
- Prepares shopdrawings with in-house team and/or subcontractors and obtains approval in advance to site installation dates
- Identifies and highlights to management and project team of any potential risks or issues that will impact Project performance
- Prepares and presents geotechnical progress and/or instrumentation monitoring status to management, project team and Client as and when required
- Supports tender team and prepares technical tender documents as per specifications for bidding of civil and structural engineering projects as and when assigned.
- Attends Progress Meetings, Technical Meetings, Instrumentation Meeting, Site Meetings, etc.
Job Requirements:
- Candidate must possesses Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering that is recognized by the Professional Engineering Board
- At least 5 years of working experience in deep underground infrastructure projects
- Understands and familiar with geotechnical Code of Practice
- Good coordination and collaboration with other disciplines (i.e. C&S, project team, etc). on geotechnical matters to ensure delivery of high quality outcome.
