Duties & Responsibilities:
- Process Improvement: Develop and draft ideas aimed at enhancing process safety, product quality, energy efficiency, production capacity, and cost reduction.
- Implementation: Execute process improvement initiatives through the Management of Change system or Non-regular work systems.
- Trial Runs: Coordinate and plan new grade trial runs with the R&D and Operations teams, manage the trials, and handle evaluations.
- Performance Evaluation: Assess process performance and key parameters over the long term or periodically to identify potential risks affecting plant stability, safety, or quality.
- Troubleshooting: Address process-related plant issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective and preventive measures as needed.
- Safety and Quality Studies: Actively participate in HAZOP, FMEA, and Control Plan studies to enhance safety and quality.
- Project Oversight: Manage process-related capital expenditure projects from conceptual design through Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and lead projects assigned by the (Assistant) Manager of the department.
- Industry 4.0: Study and implement Industry 4.0 technologies to drive productivity and process improvements.
- EHSQ Program: Engage in the Company’s EHSQ program, promoting and enhancing its initiatives.
- Management Systems: Collaborate with other departments on management systems such as ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, SS651, IATF16949, Safety Case regime, Energy Management System, and ISCC Plus.
- Process Engineering Studies: Conduct studies such as NRW and MOC as a process engineering function or as requested by other departments.
- Work Environment: Maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Experience:
- 3 years of experience in Petrochemical Industries (preferred).
- For Senior positions, at least 5 years of experience in Petrochemical Industries.
- Certifications: Possession of a Singapore Certified Energy Manager (preferred).
- Standards Familiarity:
- Safety Case Regime.
- IATF 16949 standard (preferred).
- ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, and SS651.
- IEC 61511 standard (preferred).
- Technical Skills:
- Process simulation software, such as Aspen Plus® or Aspen HYSYS®.
- Distributed Control Systems (DCS), particularly logic and sequence modifications.
- Additional Skills:
- Ability to multi-task and handle diverse responsibilities.
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
