We’re looking to add a Planner in Singapore. The position will be based in our GES Site in Marsiling.
As a Planner, you will:
Assist the TCS/Planning Manager in managing assigned customer accounts.
The key responsibilities are as below:
- Prepare the Master Production Schedule (MPS), optimizing resources and coordinating with departments to meet product, volume, and shipment targets.
- Monitor material shortages and liaise with Purchasing to ensure timely receipt of materials for Work Orders.
- Ensure timely implementation of Engineering Change Orders (ECO) and collaborate with Engineering on ECN and deviations.
- Interact with customers on parts allocation, premium buy authorizations, committed ship dates, and ensure on-time delivery.
- Attend customer conference calls to update material status per the shipping plan.
- Work with cross-functional departments to ensure timely Supplier Release Validation (SRV) and smooth transfer of NPI projects to mass production.
- Release and maintain Work Orders (WO) in SAP based on customer Purchase Order requirements, and commit shipments against required dates.
- Manage demand exceptions, inventory, and supply, implementing inventory controls and evaluating inventory turns performance.
- Report monthly material excess and obsolescence, developing action plans to reduce on-hand inventory and open orders.
- Collaborate across departments to determine in-house material requirements and effectively meet the production plan.
- Prepare purchase requisitions, direct authorizations, and participate in Interplant Product Transfer activities.
- Meet the Planning department's KPIs and organize meetings to manage product EOL, last-time buys, and builds, including reporting and closure of E&O.
- Assist the Planning Manager in coordinating inventory/materials shortage reports.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Planning Manager.
What skills and experiences are we looking for?
- Diploma in Electronics Engineering, and/or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in the related field, preferably executive in Electronics Manufacturing Service industry.
- Familiar with PCBAs and top-level assembly (TLA) processes
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, and SAP system.
