Financial Controller

Who We're Seeking:
The perfect fit for this role is a seasoned Financial Controller with a background in people-focused or service-oriented businesses, particularly those in marketing or creative services. Experience across various sectors—consulting, creative, digital, and media—is a plus. A recognized accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA) is a must.
You'll collaborate closely with the local Managing Director and the Global CFO, making finance your central focus. We're looking for a strategic leader who excels in managing senior leadership, driving financial health, and fostering a collaborative environment. A 'hands-on' and 'can-do' attitude is essential.
Your Responsibilities:
Financial Stewardship:
- Oversee all local finance and accounting operations.
- Prepare and present monthly P&L, balance sheet, and working capital reports.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning with input from key stakeholders.
- Manage working capital, ensuring sufficient cash flow and timely billing.
- Monitor financial performance, identify opportunities and risks, and propose solutions.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to guide future business decisions.
- Manage capex budgets and the audit process.
- Ensure tax and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate effectively with third parties, including auditors and legal firms.
- Support ad hoc initiatives as the business grows.
Commercial Management:
- Provide proactive insights and ensure no surprises for the agency and management.
- Review master account plans and analyze financial performance against budgets.
- Work with senior leadership to align revenues and profitability with strategic goals.
- Translate business ideas into actionable plans and projections.
- Identify key business drivers, optimize costs, and maximize revenue.
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting process across studios.
- Monitor client profitability, resource utilization, and inter-office resource sharing.
- Assist in client contracting and negotiations to secure favorable terms.
Your Background:
- Experience in a global creative services agency.
- Bachelor’s degree and recognized accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, etc.).
- Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of inspiring teams.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas clearly.
- Proven experience in managing senior leaders and driving organizational alignment.
