Assistant / Finance Manager (Credit Control)

About the Role:

Leading a small global team, this role will be accountable for developing and monitoring a robust credit control system for the AMOS Group in collaboration with sales, finance and executive team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee credit assessment, invoicing, credit and collection initiatives to ensure credit policies are enforced throughout the organisation and timely collections are made.
  • Evaluate reports, financial data and other relevant information to determine customer credit worthiness, appropriate credit terms and limits.
  • Active involvement in collection activities, collaborating with stakeholders to improve existing accounts receivable collections processes and maintain DSO within target limits.
  • Support cash flow and cash forecasting in partnership with Group Treasury.
  • Actively assess and manage credit control risks; implementing controls and procedures to minimize delinquent debt and unbilled revenues.
  • Support financial closing and management reporting; ensure financial reports are presented in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Provide strong leadership, direction, and management to the team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Support ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned from time to time.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accountancy or equivalent or extensive relevant work experience.

Required Skills:

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in accounts receivable with recent years leading credit control operations.
  • Working knowledge of designing/ implementing/ monitoring credit control policies, procedures and best practices that lead to tangible improvements in DSO and AR performance.
  • Ability to manage the complexities associated with geographically distributed teams and cultures.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP and other ERP systems.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Critical attributes - Proactive and hands-on leadership style, “can-do” and “roll up the sleeves” attitude, strong interpersonal and communication skills, strong analytical abilities, process thinking and problem-solving skills.
