Position Overview:
Reporting directly to the Centre Manager (CM), the Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the effective operation and delivery of the services within the Active Ageing Centre Care (AACC) which includes Active Ageing Programme, Befriending and Community Screening & Social Connector. This position requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a deep commitment to enhancing the well-being of senior community members.
Key Job Scope and Responsibilities:
1. Program Development
Collaborate with the CM to develop activities and programs tailored to the needs and interests of community seniors. Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs and activities that promote physical, mental, and social well-being for seniors.
Ensure programs align with service and funding requirements and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) set by the authority.
Develop and implement outreach plans to engage and profile seniors within the service boundary for appropriate follow up actions.
Update and maintain database list of AACC members and contact list.
2. Team Supervision
Supervise, guide and support the AACC program coordinators. Assist the CM to identify and provide training needs and development opportunities for staff to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Facilitate volunteer recruitment, training and retention.
3. Resource Supervision
Work with CM in the timely preparation of budget and procurement plans for management’s approval. Monitor and ensure the effective and efficient use of resources and funding.
4. Compliance and Reporting
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and guidelines.
Prepare and submit regular reports to the CM, detailing program outcomes, financial expenditures, funding utilization and other required information.
Maintain accurate records of all activities, participants, and financial transactions and ensure proper documentation of KPIs and outcomes for audit purposes.
5. Stakeholder Engagement
Support the CM in establishing and maintaining partnerships with local organizations, healthcare providers, government agencies and community groups to enhance service delivery and community support.
Promote the AACC's services and actively participate in community events to raise awareness and foster community engagement.
6. Quality Assurance
Implement quality assurance measures to continuously improve service delivery.
Conduct surveys and gather feedback from seniors and other stakeholders to assess program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Address any complaints or issues promptly and effectively.
7. Strategic Planning
Assist in developing and implementing strategic plans to achieve KPIs and goals.
Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance the AACC’s operations and services.
8. Health and Safety
Ensure a safe and healthy activity environment for all participants and staff.
Conduct regular risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate identified risks.
Respond appropriately to emergencies and incidents.
Qualifications and Certifications:
Min A Level/ Diploma/ Degree in any field
2 years’ experience in running operations or Active Ageing Centres would be an advantage.
Relevant certifications in senior care, first aid, or health and safety are advantageous.
Skills:
Strong leadership and organizational skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, proficiency in budgeting and financial management, ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management software.
