Job Title: Senior Finance Executive I
Position Summary
- Responsible for accounts payable function mainly in processing of payments for a Singapore entity and the processing of employee staff claims for both Singapore and Hong Kong entities. This role requires the individual to liaise and work with multiple departments as well as contributing to continuous improvement in the overall processes, controls and system functions.
- Responsible for the full set accounts for a Malaysian entity.
Responsibilities
- Timely processing of normal and advance payments to suppliers and related companies, ensuring sufficient appropriate supporting documents are submitted.
- Timely processing and reimbursement of employees’ claims in accordance with the Delegation of Authority.
- Follow up on queries from suppliers and employees in area of expertise.
- Prepare weekly cash payment forecast.
- Monitor cashbook to ensure sufficient funds for payments, and liaise with bank to trade currencies when needed.
- Monthly closing activities include posting of journals to clear outgoing bank reconciling items, accruals and clearing of GRIR account.
- File withholding tax for external payments on IRAS portal.
- Perform vendors’ reconciliation and follow up for corrective actions.
- Handle full sets accounts of Malaysia entity and timely submission of monthly reporting pack to Corporate Finance.
- Analysis of S&M and G&A spending in the monthly reporting pack.
- Prepare accrual journals for sales & marketing related expenses for the Malaysian entity.
- Liaise with tax agent for corporate tax filing and auditors for annual report filing for the Malaysian entity.
- Support in audit, tax and process improvement projects / ad-hoc assignments where necessary. May be considered for wider scope of assignments where the opportunity arises.
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Accountancy or Finance.
- Min 3-5 years of relevant accounting working experience.
- Ability to speak and write both in Chinese and English a bonus
- Good working knowledge of SAP and MS office.
- An independent, meticulous and task-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal and organisation skills.
- Must be a strong team player and proactive and possess a high level of integrity.
