Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Credit and Collections Specialist responsible for managing the company's credit policies and ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts. This role involves assessing creditworthiness, monitoring accounts, and maintaining strong relationships with clients to minimise credit risk and maximise cash flow.


Key Responsibilities:

Assess the creditworthiness of potential and existing clients. Set credit limits and terms in accordance with company policies. Monitor outstanding balances and ensure timely collection of payments. Follow up on overdue accounts through phone calls, emails, and letters. Negotiate payment plans and settlements with clients. Maintain accurate records of all collection activities. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to facilitate smooth credit transactions. Address and resolve any client queries or disputes related to credit and payments. Prepare regular reports on credit status, outstanding debts, and collection activities. Analyse credit data and trends to identify potential risks and opportunities for improvement. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations related to credit management. Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in credit policies. Experience in leading a team of Account Receivable Officers. Strong understanding of credit management principles and practices.


Qualifications:

· Diploma in Accounting, finance, or a similar

· Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Credit Controller & Account Receivable

· Background experience in the food manufacturing industry/ food service industry

· Proficiency in using S4 Hana and Microsoft Office Suite.

· Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
