About the job

As the Customer Advisory Leader for Singapore, you will be working across the domains to support the frontline teams and management to maximize revenue opportunities in targeted industries – Public Sector, Banking and Insurance as the primary focus. Partnering with the Country leadership and Sales Leader for the Go To Market strategies, plans and execution for Singapore.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Builds trusted relationships with sales teams and account teams to increase the company’s credibility and communicate the company value proposition primarily in sales situations that creates demand and advance SAS offerings and solution for the focus industries.
  • Leads initiatives and programs to drive demand, create opportunities and established SAS credentials – ensuring the messaging and positioning of SAS offerings that address the challenges within the targeted industries and customers.
  • Build, develop and manage a high-performance team that is able to support and execute the GTM and meeting company goals and targets.
  • Leading and motivating the team to achieve target and goals. Keeping a high engagement model with the team members and internal stakeholders. Maintain good relationships with the other frontline and domain teams.
  • Strategizes with the frontline teams which includes sales, channels and pre-sales teams – locally and regionally to drive the initiatives and opportunities. This includes the aspects of creating demand generation programs with some localisation where required. These are aligned with the regional targets and provides strategic leadership for sales opportunities.
  • Articulates the breadth and value of the SAS solution for the selected focus domain and in respective customer targets.
  • Mapping SAS value proposition and solution to the identified upcoming key trends in the marketplace; position SAS prominently to address these challenges.
  • Translate business requirements into SAS solutions and link to business value.
  • Lead and provide guidance to the team to better delivery and demonstrate the SAS solutions
  • Drive go-to-market strategies & initiatives with identified partners (global and local) to drive demand and extend coverage in the marketplace. Building and maintain a healthy and sustainable pipeline for growth.
  • Trusted advisor to customers including C-levels, from the various line of business to improve our engagement model and solution roadmaps to achieve best business outcomes using with SAS technology & experience
  • Ability to advise customers on their digital transformation and customer experience journey by articulating the SAS solution.
  • Leveraging on SAS Global and Regional practices teams’ knowledge, skill and experiences and localising this for local messaging in the domain of Risk, Fraud, Customer Experiences and advanced analytics.
  • Proactively communicates the solution-based knowledge and use cases to the sales, partners within out eco system and other frontline teams to enable and empower these teams to better identify opportunities and successfully position SAS.
  • Supports senior/executive management through the execution of sales workshops, or other means, to examine the pipeline and suggest appropriate activities to expand the pipeline (business expansion), move deals through the pipeline or improve the local ability to execute.
  • Develops and manages relationships in strategic markets and accounts including building customer networks, especially with C-levels and senior executives.
  • Runs workgroups to share sales best practices, identify new opportunities, share sales successes and to proactively drive appropriate information to field constituents

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Computer Science, Finance or other quantitative field related to area of assignment.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in solution sales, solution pre-sale combined with business development in Singapore for at least 2 of the target industry.
  • A good track record in managing a high performance team; 8 to 10 years of experience in people management. Strong people management and leadership skills.
  • Experienced in managing a business unit with financial KPIs.
  • Strong customer facing skills on focused industries
  • Strong industry and economic understanding of Singapore – Public Sector or FSI.
  • Strong communications skills and interpersonal skills
  • Public speaking experience
  • Ability to work effectively in teams.
  • Able to travel as required
