Operations Support Officer

The Services required are set out as follows:

  • Responsible for Cleanliness: This involves ensuring that classrooms, special rooms, and common areas within the school are kept clean and orderly. This includes tasks like cleaning, tidying up, and possibly coordinating with janitorial staff.
  • Security of Classrooms and Common Rooms: You are responsible for the security of these spaces, which includes locking and unlocking doors and windows. This helps prevent unauthorized access and maintain the safety of the school environment.
  • Arm and Disarm Security Alarm: Operating and monitoring the school's security alarm system. Arming it during non-operational hours and disarming it when authorized personnel need access.
  • Maintain Security and Vigilance: Being vigilant to identify strangers or suspicious individuals on school premises. This is important for the safety of students and staff.
  • Direct and Accompany Visitors/Contractors: When visitors or contractors come to the school, you may need to direct them to the appropriate offices or locations within the school. This ensures that they are not wandering around unsupervised.
  • Gate and Traffic Warden Duties: During peak hours, you may be responsible for managing the school gate and ensuring the smooth flow of traffic. This is important for the safety of students and to avoid traffic congestion around the school.
  • Support for School Events: Assisting teaching staff and other school personnel in logistics and arrangements for school events. This could involve setting up classrooms, arranging equipment, or coordinating with event vendors.
  • Other Assigned Duties: Being flexible and willing to take on other responsibilities as assigned by the SLs, Administration Manager (AM) and Operations Manager (OM). This might include ad-hoc tasks or projects that arise.
  • In summary, this role plays a crucial part in maintaining the cleanliness, security, and overall safety of the school environment. It involves a combination of janitorial, security, and administrative responsibilities to ensure the smooth operation of the school.


Qualifications, skills and experience:

  1. Minimum PSLE Certificate.
  2. Good team player and able to speak simple English.
  3. Preferably have some working experience in schools and able to handle physical duties such as carrying tables and chairs etc.
