Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company objectives. Drive sales growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the logistics and freight forwarding sector.
- Actively engage in lead generation, prospecting, and networking to acquire new clients. Focus on building strong, long-term relationships with key clients in the industry.
- Manage and nurture existing client relationships to maximize client retention and satisfaction. Ensure clients’ logistics needs are met with tailored solutions.
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and potential areas of growth. Provide insights to shape the company's sales strategies.
- Monitor and report on sales performance metrics. Provide regular updates and sales forecasts to senior management.
- As the pioneer sales member, contribute to the development of the sales team, providing mentorship and guidance to junior sales staff as the team expands.
- Work closely with other departments such as operations, finance, and customer service to ensure seamless service delivery to clients.
- Travel as required to meet with clients, attend industry events, and expand the company's market presence.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related fields preferred.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of sales experience in the logistics and freight forwarding industry, with a proven track record of managing accounts with an annual revenue of at least SGD 1 million.
- Familiarity with the full spectrum of logistics services, including ocean, air, and land freight.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
- Critical thinker with the ability to analyse situations, solve problems, and make sound decisions under pressure.
- A self-driven individual with a passion for sales, motivated to achieve and exceed targets.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
- A team player who can collaborate effectively with colleagues to achieve common goals.
- Willingness to travel as required to pursue business opportunities.
