Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Savoury Application Technician to join our product development team in Singapore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the development and application of savoury products, ensuring they meet quality standards and customer expectations. This role requires strong technical skills, creativity, and a passion for food development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the formulation and development of savoury products, including seasonings, condiments, and ready-to-eat meals.
- Conduct application trials to evaluate product performance and sensory attributes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, quality assurance, and marketing, to ensure alignment with product goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation of formulations, processes, and trial results.
- Perform stability tests and sensory evaluations to assess product quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to product formulations and applications.
- Stay updated on industry trends and innovations related to savoury products and culinary practices.
- Provide technical support and training to internal teams and customers regarding savoury applications.
- Participate in product presentations and demonstrations for clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in food product development or a similar role, preferably focusing on savoury applications.
- Strong understanding of food chemistry, ingredient functionality, and processing methods.
- Excellent sensory evaluation skills and knowledge of flavour profiles.
- Proficient in laboratory and food processing equipment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
