Equative Solution is seeking a skilled System Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Linux and Windows OS maintenance and configuration, proficiency in JBoss application server configuration and security hardening, and a solid understanding of AWS cloud services. As a System Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our IT infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and performance.
Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, and maintain Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Manage system updates, patches, and upgrades for optimal performance and security.
• Configure and harden JBoss application server instances to ensure reliability and security.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
• Collaborate with development teams to deploy applications and provide infrastructure support.
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
• Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud environments as per business requirements.
• Automate routine tasks and processes using scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell).
• Conduct system audits and document system configurations and changes.
• Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and stakeholders.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a System Engineer or similar role with strong Linux and Windows OS
administration skills.
• Hands-on experience with JBoss application server configuration and security hardening.
• Understanding of AWS cloud services and experience in deploying and managing AWS resources.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) for automation and task scheduling.
• Familiarity with network protocols, security principles, and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Red Hat Certified Engineer) are
advantageous.
