The School of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) at Nanyang Technological University is (NTU) looking for a highly motivated candidate to join us as Project Officer to facilitate the research outreach initiative coordinated by Nanyang Assistant Professor Yi-Sheng (Eason) Chen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement media strategies to enhance the visibility and impact of NTU MSE.
- Produce high-quality press releases, articles, newsletters, videos, photos, and other content to promote research achievements and activities in NTU MSE.
- Collaborate with research groups to identify newsworthy projects and outcomes.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local and international media outlets.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries, providing timely and accurate information.
- Plan and execute promotional events, such as open houses, research showcases, high school outreach, and public lectures.
- Ensure accurate and positive representation of the school's work in the media.
- Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including journalists, industry partners, and academic institutions.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in either Advertising, Public Relations, or Communication.
- Good knowledge and experience in photography, filming, video editing, and media engagement.
- Good skills in working and communicating as a part of a team.
- Good English user with evidence.
- Good attitude in relevant training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
