Role Overview:
The Retail Operations Projects Specialist supports the Retail Operations & Service Director in the successful planning, execution, and management of owned value stores in India, as part of the Next% Strategy. This role is crucial for collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring business processes for new stores in India are documented and meet Inc. standards for operational excellence and service experience. Additionally, the role supports the Retail Operations and Service team in other key initiatives to ensure timely execution and delivery of critical objectives.
Responsibilities:
Process Mapping, Standardization, and Optimization:
- Map out end-to-end standardized operating procedures as part of the new operating model for owned value stores in India, ensuring consistency and compliance across all states.
- Identify areas for improvement in processes and procedures, collaborating with the Retail Operations & Service Director to refine and enhance these processes.
Stakeholder Communication and Reporting:
- Provide regular updates to the Retail Operations & Service Director on process mapping status, highlighting risks, challenges, and opportunities.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on project progress, store readiness, and post-opening performance metrics.
Operational Support:
- Ensure key deliverables and value drops for existing stores are completed on time and in full.
- Support O2O initiatives, such as Ship-to-Store for Direct Stores, to enhance consumer service.
- Assist with membership programs, such as birthday rewards, to boost consumer retention and returning store traffic.
- Oversee vendor relationships and manage store supplies replenishment.
- Provide support for day-to-day operational needs, including incident responses when required.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Finance, or related fields.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in retail operations, retail management, project management, or a similar role.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within tight deadlines.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to adapt to changing business conditions.
