As a Network Administrator for Long Win Engineering, your job scope typically involves standard network management tasks and specialized responsibilities tailored to the company's needs.


Work Responsibilities


1. Network Design and Implementation

- Design, configure, and deploy network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points, to support the company's operations.

- Ensure network design aligns with the company's scalability, reliability, and security needs.


2. Network Monitoring and Maintenance:

- Monitor network performance to ensure optimal operation and minimal downtime.

- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as updates, patches, and upgrades for network hardware and software.


3. Troubleshooting and Support:

- Provide technical support for network-related issues, addressing problems quickly to minimize impact on business operations.

- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues, hardware failures, and other network-related problems.


4. Security Management:

- Implement and manage security measures to protect the network from internal and external threats.

- Configure and monitor firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security appliances.


5. Network Documentation:

- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, topology, and changes.

- Create and update network diagrams and documentation for future reference and compliance.


6. User Management:

- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access to network resources.

- Ensure proper network access control and adherence to company policies.


7. Vendor and Contract Management:

Liaise with hardware and software vendors for procurement, support, and service agreements.

- Manage relationships with external service providers, ensuring quality and performance standards are met.


8. Performance Reporting:

- Generate reports on network performance, incidents, and security events.

- Provide insights and recommendations for network improvements based on performance data.


Industry-Specific Responsibilities


1. Integration with Air Conditioning Systems:

- Support the network integration of smart air conditioning systems and IoT devices used in the company’s products or services.

- Ensure that network infrastructure can handle the specific demands of these systems, such as data transmission and real-time monitoring.


2. Support for Field Technicians:

- Provide remote support and troubleshooting assistance to field technicians who are installing or servicing air conditioning units.

- Ensure that field systems are properly integrated with the company's data collection and reporting network.


3. Compliance with Industry Standards:

- Adhere to industry-specific standards and regulations related to data security and network management.

- Ensure network infrastructure complies with standards relevant to the HVAC industry, such as data privacy regulations for customer information.


4. Collaboration with Other Departments:

- Work closely with the IT department, engineering teams, and other relevant departments to support cross-functional projects.

- Facilitate smooth integration of network solutions with other technological systems within the company.


Skills and Qualifications


Technical Skills:

- Proficiency in network hardware and software, including knowledge of routing, switching, and network protocols.

- Experience with network security tools and techniques.


- Problem-Solving Abilities:

- Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.


- Communication Skills:

- Effective communication skills for interacting with team members, vendors, and end-users.


- Certifications:

- Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Network+, or equivalent qualifications can be beneficial.


Experience:
