Your Role
As the Solution Architect in Pre-sales, you are expected to demonstrate professional knowledge and behaviour on assignments, taking care for customers and activities with important attention to the team aspect. Also, to work and deliver autonomously, the acquisition and development of software application systems and solutions based on customer and internal engagement.
Your Responsibilities
As an Application Development Manager and Solution Architect
a. Evaluate all business requirements and to provide SAP solutions and an integrated approach for SAP customers.
b. Provide technical consultation to customers through understanding customers’ requirements and recommending the most suitable solutions and services.
c. Consult project teams and consultants developing products/services to gain an in-depth knowledge that you can relate to customers – and to let them in on user behaviour and/or any potential changes clients would like.
d. Oversee the acquisition and development of software systems based on the customer business process and requirements.
e. Monitor the results and quality of the different software solutions and projects.
f. Deliver presentations and demonstrations to prospective and current clients, with technical and architecture design, configuration, and customisation of SAP products.
g. Provide technical expertise on the development or application of software and platform applications.
h. Design technical and software architecture, considering the appropriate security and risk factors.
If you are involved in pre-sales, you will
a. Provide support to internal stakeholders in the sales process.
b. Work with sales on proposals and proposal presentation.
c. Provide support to marketing in marketing materials and events.
d. Engage vendors for support and solutions.
e. Support the sales team to reach targets with suggest solutions and best practices. Encourage clients to buy extras and upgrades etc..
f. Conduct research into the industry – including competitor research, providing advice on SAP functionality, organisational change, and other advisory services.
g. Consider potential markets or clients to contact, based on your knowledge of both the products/services and their users.
About you
Your Knowledge, Skills, and Qualification
a. A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Programming and systems Analyst or Science (Computer Science)
b. Knowledge in SAP products and projects and architectural solutions.
c. Knowledgeable in SAP CRM and SAP SRM will be an advantage.
d. Have a good understanding of SAP best practices and best fit.
e. Excellent communications and writing skills.
f. Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
g. Ability to communicate technical and business concepts effectively to customers.
h. Ability to identify requirements and develop use cases in SAP’s ERP based on customer needs.
i, Self-motivated and able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
j, Understanding and proficient in IT infrastructure, Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure will be advantageous.
Your Experience
a. Minimum 6 years of work experience with at least 3 years of work experience in job scope relevant to Application and Development manager, Head of application development and software and development manager.
b. Solution architecture and/or project requirements in SAP, dealing with vendors and external stakeholders.
b. Worked in multiple industries and across multiple workstreams to ensure aligned solutions.
c. Functional Experience in multiple SAP modules, such as Financial Accounting and Controlling (FICO), Sales and Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), Extended Warehouse Management (eWM) and Manufacturing (PP/DM) is preferred.
d. IT & related sales and/or Pre-Sales in SAP products and/or projects will be an added advantage.
e. implements full project lifecycle in SAP architectural design, SAPS/4 HANA migration and upgrade, BASIS, Performance testing is an added advantage.
