Our client, a trading firm with a global presence which expertise lies in the export and distribution of minerals and resources, is sourcing for a Strategy and Sustainability Director to join their growing team.
The Director of Strategy and Sustainability is responsible for developing and implementing the long-term strategic direction of an organization, with a focus on sustainability initiatives. They identify and prioritize sustainability goals, integrate them into the company's overall strategy, and ensure that the organization meets its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) objectives.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Must hold at least a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification
• Proven experience with a minimum of 10 years in strategy, government relations, business development, and sustainability roles.
• At least 6 years of experience in managerial or leadership roles
• Deep passion for sustainability, with extensive knowledge of sustainable practices, principles, and reporting frameworks
• Resourceful with a broad network of government, business, and relevant parties
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft office Applications
• Sharp financial acumen and commercial eye to evaluate and develop potential business opportunities
• Possess a motivated and independent attitude to lead and thrive in a dynamic and fast paced environment with space for growth
• Openness to travel overseas periodically for businesses purposes
